This project stems from my experiences with vulnerability as a black, gay man. It was birthed from a writing assignment, where I asked straight men to watch gay porn in order to inform them on the complexities of gay, black existence, as well as foster a discourse surrounding their experiences with masculinity. By way of fabric, my goal was to visually unify each portrait as well as create a space where each subject felt free to be vulnerable.
