This photo series comments on my personal experience on intimacy, within Black gay relationships. Often gestures that convey intimacy are reserved for the bedroom out of safety, fear, societal discomfort, etc. I wanted to create a space that sheds light on the push and pull of emotions experienced when those gestures exist in public, and out of the bedroom. In turn, I then reimagined what intimacy can look like when expressed from inside the body, and outward, towards a world that shames Black queer masculinity.
